The new clubhouse has five sheets of ice, a large viewing area, a lounge and a kitchen. The club has over 150 members, ranging in age from 5 to 85, demonstrating the intergenerational and lifelong nature of the sport.
Our season begins in October with open houses and learn-to-curl classes for the public as well as open practice hours for members. Leagues begin the first week in November and continue until mid-March, with some leagues permitting team changes at the mid-season break in mid-January. In addition to leagues, MCC offers a variety of curling opportunities throughout the season, ranging from a few hours to a few days in length. Members curl as much or as little as they like, depending on their personal interests and availability.
New curlers are encouraged to sign-up for league play because it is the best way to learn the sport and meet new people. More experienced curlers are generally teamed with new curlers in order to help with skill development and ice etiquette. New member orientation is held at the beginning of November and private lessons, scheduled upon request, are available free of charge to all club members, offered by official instructors certified by the United States Curling Association.
