Club overview

From our 1845 beginnings on the frozen Milwaukee River to our present facility at Ozaukee Country Club, we are the longest continually operating curling club in the United States.

The curling club has four sheets of ice, a large viewing area, and bar room; wait staff from Ozaukee Country Club provide food and beverage service. The club has over 200 members, ranging in age from 5 to 85, demonstrating the intergenerational and lifelong nature of the sport.

Our season begins in mid-October with open houses and learn-to-curl classes for the public as well as open practice hours for members. Leagues begin the first week in November and continue until mid-March, with some leagues permitting team changes at the ‘semester’ break in mid-January. In addition to leagues, MCC offers a variety of curling opportunities throughout the season, ranging from a few hours to a few days in length. Members curl as much or as little as they like, depending on their personal interests and availability.

New curlers are encouraged to sign-up for league play because it is the best way to learn the sport and meet new people. More experienced curlers are generally teamed with new curlers in order to help with skill development and ice etiquette. New member orientation is held at the beginning of November and private lessons, scheduled upon request, are available free of charge to all club members, offered by official instructors certified by the United States Curling Association.
